There are reportedly about 21 registered hotels in Lesotho although to-date a grading system has not yet being implemented. It is being considered by the authorities responsible for Tourism and when implemented, will assist visitors to make informed choices about the accommodation they select. Over and above these, there are a further 17 -18 guest houses, Bed & Breakfast and other lodges. Lesotho is also considering the introduction of what are termed “Home Stays”, and these are/will be prevalent primarily in the villages In and around Mafeteng.

It is highly recommended that visitors to Lesotho consult widely and use the services of Destination Lesotho when making reservations for accommodations.
