Golf in Lesotho

Maseru Golf Course
The Maseru Golf Club is located in the center of Maseru and has a difficult 9-hole course. It welcomes all visitors and is rarely busy, with the exception of Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. Notwithstanding this, visitors are always accommodated and there are always other golfers to play with.

The club is growing and currently doesn’t have Golf clubs to loan to visitors. With prior arrangements though, these can always be sourced. However, should visitors bring their own Golf clubs, they will experience Golf with a difference, and Golf never to be forgotten. With the water shortage in the lowlands of Lesotho, the course is usually dry with the rough being extremely punishing.

The nineteenth hole is the most exciting, and the small clubhouse attracts many others who may not play golf, but enjoy its ambiance. There are snacks and soft drinks throughout the day, with those special Sotho meals on offer for lunch. Caddies are plentiful, extremely friendly and very experienced.
