Lesotho boasts a number of National Parks and Nature Reserves, which are exciting given their locations in the highlands. Sehlabathebe National Park This park is part of the Transfrontier Conservation area between Lesotho and South Africa and covers some 6,500 hectares. It is situated in the catchment area of the Tsoelikana River, with its main entrance some 35 Kilometres from Ramatseliso's Gate, the border crossing near Qacha's Nek. This is however not the only entry point although 4-wheel drive vehicles are required to enter the park at most of the other entry points. Accommodation is available in the various lodges in the Park although there are limited food supplies and visitors are encouraged to bring their own provisions. Sehlabathebe is best known for its Sandstone formations, for its rock paintings, and for its Fauna and Flora. It is home to the Lammer Geyer or Bearded Vulture, and for the rare Water Lily (Aponogenton ranunculiflorus), once thought to be extinct. Tsehlanyane Nature Reserve
